Sherry Peppercorn

Senior Analyst

Sherry Peppercorn is a Senior Analyst at the Institute for Accountable Care. She is a SAS programmer with experience processing large data sets and analyzing Medicare claims, with special expertise in Part D prescription drug claims analysis. She previously spent ten years as a Lead Health Data Analyst at Telligen providing analytic support under various Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) contracts. Sherry has worked closely with CMS to develop and refine quality improvement measures. This included monitoring and tracking the progress of Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIOs) through progress reports, evaluation reports, dashboards, and deep-dive ad-hoc analyses. Sherry’s prior work focused on medication safety measures and the adverse effects that commonly occur with high-risk drugs, mostly in the opioid arena. In this role, she has provided opioid analyses that examine opioid prescribing patterns and the adverse effects on Medicare beneficiaries. She received her BS in Education (Mathematics) from University of Texas at Austin.
